For Immediate Release: November 15, 2010
The Cyprus Action Network of America CANA urges all co-patriots and friends who support the liberation of occupied Cyprus from the Turkish ongoing occupation and Turkish slavery to join their voices and participate in these demonstrations wherever they are in Cyprus , Greece or Britain and promote the demand of the Greek Cypriots for Cyprus to be free. And to return to their stolen land and properties and for Turkey to withdraw its invading 40,000 strong army and imported 160,000 settlers back to Anatolia away from any racist bizonal bicommunal federations.

ANTI OCCUPATION DEMONSTRATIONS IN CYPRUS , GREECE AND BRITAIN
On Monday the 15 of November is the day of the unilateral declaration of independence by R. Denktash of the pseudo regime. The United Nations condemned it with two resolutions of its Security Council, the 541 of 1983 and 550 of 1984 which calls upon all nations NOT to recognise the occupied areas of Cyprus as such.
Demonstrations are organised like every year since 1983 outside the Attila Embassy in London by the National Federation of Cypriots in Gt. Britain , Refugee Associations, but also by the Students Metopo in the UK (www.metopo.org.uk). This year the demonstration is extended by the National Federation, to take place also outside the British Prime Ministers office, 10 Downing Street London . Same anti-occupation preparations for demonstrations are on the way to take place in Cyprus and Greece by Refugee Associations, Students and the whole nation in Cyprus and Greece . In Athens main speakers at the Drasis/KES gathering (sister Student Association to Metopo Students UK ) will be the two heroic teachers one from occupied Karpasia Eleni Foka and the other from Thraki Chara Nikopoulou. In Salonica main speaker at the PEOF of Thessaloniki Student Association (another sister Assocation to Metopo Students of the UK ) will be Professor Neoclis Sarris.
Why the American Federation of Cypriots and PSEKA never follow suit and never demonstrate likewise outside the Attila (Turkish) Embassy in Washington on 15 November since 1983?
