CANA REPORT: TURKISH LOBBY AND GREEK CYPRIOT STOLEN LAND

NEW YORK—The Cyprus Action Network of America (CANA) has made Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to the US State Department and to IEEE asking for copies of communications and documents between these entities and Turkish lobbyists and agents in regards to the Turkish Microwave “symposium” set to take place in buildings and lands stolen from Greek-Cypriots as result of the illegal Turkish-military   invasion in 1974.

Mr. Yalcin Ayasli, the Turkish American businessman and owner of Hittite Microwaves, has financed the Turkish lobby in America to the tune of tens of millions of dollars. According to official sources, the TCA Turkish Coalition of America, has been financed almost exclusively by Mr. Yalcin Ayasli.

The fact that the bandit-pseudo state is recognized by no-one but Turkey, was enough to convince the EuMA (European Microwave Association) to withdraw officially from technical sponsorship of the Turkish Microwave “symposium”.  Meanwhile IEEE remains its sponsor. By doing so they lend false “legitimacy” and we believe IEEE’s special relationship with Mr. Yalcin Ayasli has everything to do with IEEE’s position.
