KEEP THE PRESSURE ON IEEE
Current Status: The EuMA the European Microwave Association has officially withdrawn from cosponsorship of the Turkish Microwave “Symposium” in buildings and land stolen from Greek Cypriots in the illegal Turkish-military invasion of Cyprus in 1974. The EuMA President Prof. Dr. Heinrich Wolfgang has refused to allow his organization to be used “as a political statement and misused for political purposes” by the bandit pseudo-state. The EuMA also informed us that they were misled and misinformed, and were not explicitly told from the beginning that the event was in the non-recognized and illegal Turkish-occupied part of Cyprus. We have been informed through telephone calls to IEEE’s Washington DC office that Dr. Nicholas “Nick” Kolias is responsible for the event in Turkish-occupied Cyprus. We urge activists to email, write paper letters, fax and most especially CALL and leave voice mail messages for Dr. Kolias on the phone to urge him NOT TO ALLOW IEEE to be used “as a political statement and misused for political purposes” and to withdraw from the event of the illegal Turkish occupiers.
