NYC HELLENIC POWER BACKED VICTORIOUS  ARNAOUTIS, USBA JR WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION

NEW YORK—The Cyprus Action Network of America (CANA) in solidarity with the Hellenic League of America (HLA) backed USBA JR WELTERWEIGHT CHAMP MIGHTY MIKE ARNAOUTIS, defending the title against challenger Cuello, ARNAOUTIS WAS VICTORIOUS WINNING 119 versus 109 in unanimous decision by all 3 judges, after 12 rounds on the evening of March 06, 2008 in the Grand Ballroom of The Manhattan Center in New York City

 

A sea of NYC HELLENIC POWER backed Mighty Mike Arnaoutis, all of us shouted and chanted in support, HLA and CANA men and women waved Hellenic flags, cheered and banged Hellenic War Drums.

 

Some of the chants interspersed with the powerful Hellenic drum beats included the shout “H-E-L-L-A-S ”, the ancient and eternal name for the Hellenic homeland and people, and “M-A-N-I”, the legendary Hellenic region which Aranoutis hails from is also the historic homeland of the Hellenic Revolution for freedom.

 

The Hellenic blue and white, the official flags of the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Cyprus , The Double-Headed Eagle and the Star of Vergina of Alexander The Great and the Macedonians were amongst the many Hellenic flags waved by our supporters and hung from the balconies.

 

 

 

CANA and the HLA have begun the first of a series of collaborative events which build solidarity and inspire the Hellenic fighting spirit, the fight for Hellenic human rights.
