Mr. Chairman,
Ladies & Gentlemen.

I am indebted to the organizers of the Convention for the invitation to be here, in my capacity as President of the Movement for Freedom & Justice in Cyprus. I am honored and I thank you all.
It is a tragic privilege to address my Hellenes Compatriots on July 15th, as this very day 36 years ago, the last SCHEDULED chapter of the Cyprus tragedy begun:
In the next few minutes I shall try to deliver “how the current situation in Cyprus is linked to the historical events of the past 60 years, what is NOW happening in Cyprus, and what is the substance of our own Proposal, towards a “just, viable and dignified solution for the Cyprus Issue”.
Ladies & Gentlemen,
A bilingual book, titled “Αιματηρή Αλήθεια-Bloody Truth”, was published by the Movement for Freedom & Justice in Cyprus in April 2009.  The book documents that:
“The entire planning against Cyprus for the last 60 years, is all made up by the British in conspiracy with the Turks, is based on the “DIVIDE AND RULE” dogma, and is indeed bloody.
The 169 irrefutable references in the book document that:
• In 1945 the British deny Cypriots the right of self-determination.
• In 1950 through 1955 the British persuade Turkey to reclaim Cyprus, dividing Cypriots “into Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots”, artificially separating the territory of the Island, and forcing Greek Cypriots to seek their freedom through the armed, liberation struggle of EOKA.
• In 1958 through 1963 the British support Turks in developing severe terrorism in Cyprus and, at the same time, they design and enforce “the Constitution-trap”, based on which the Republic of Cyprus is established in 1960.
• In 1963 the British advise the President of the Republic of Cyprus «to pursue constitutional amendments» and -on this pretext- they incite an armed Turkish insurgency and secession/self-isolation of Turkish Cypriots from the legitimate State, aiming at the collapse of the Republic of Cyprus.
This conspiracy act of 1963 caused a chain of events, through to 1974: 
 The continuous violence between Greeks and Turks, the development of the illegal EOKA B’ organization and the 2nd Division (between the Greeks of Cyprus this time),
 The treachery and the Athens junta Coup against the legitimate government of the Republic of Cyprus,
 On this pretext the raid of Turkey, killing Greek civilians irrespective of age and sex, raping Greek females of any age, driving into refuge 1/3 of the Greek population and destroying in their way whatever could possibly remind 1000s of years of Greek heritage in the Island.
 And since then (for 36 years) the illegal occupation of 37% of the territory of the sovereign Republic of Cyprus, with all the consequences thereof…
The British and the Turks, despite being “guarantors” of the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus, accomplished in 1974 the 3rd Division between Cypriots: The Turkish Cypriots are moved and isolated to the north of the island, and the Greek Cypriots are uprooted and forcibly isolated in the south.
For 30 years following the invasion (until 2004), repeated so-called “attempts” are made at «the solution of the Cyprus Issue», while Turkey declares (in 1983) an internationally illegal and non-recognized “Turkish state” in the occupied area of the Republic of Cyprus (the so called “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus”), topped by the catastrophic “Annan Solution Plan”, signed by the U.N. Secretary General and forcibly submitted to the People of Cyprus for acceptance in 2002.
Inspired by the British in collaboration with the Turks and specific personalities in the United States, Greece and Cyprus, the “Annan Plan” attempted  -among others-  at a 4th division of the Republic’s Greek population:  Refugees that would return to their homes and properties and refugees that would not be allowed to return under the terms of the plan. This provision, together with all other detrimental provisions of that “Plan”, would have spelled the ultimate destruction of Cyprus.
The abominable “Annan plan” was overwhelmingly rejected by 76% of Greeks in Cyprus, at a referendum on April 24th 2004.  One week later, the Republic of Cyprus became officially an equal Member State of the European Union, absolutely unharmed with respect to its sovereignty on the entire Island.
From 2004 to this day, despite the rejection of the “Annan Plan” and the full accession to the European Union, a redesigned attempt is in process, driving the developments towards the CEMENTING of a so called “Bizonal Bicommunal Federation”.
 An arrangement originally formulated by the British and the Turks in 1957 and put for the first time on the table by the British on August 16th 1974, just before the cease fire agreement in Cyprus.  An arrangement, on which Henry Kissinger commented to the British “I do not think Greek Cypriots will ever accept this arrangement”.  Maybe the only correct Kissinger statement ever on the Cyprus Issue.
“Bizonal Bicommunal Federation”. An arrangement internationally unchartered, that does not exist in international law, that has never been tested in any country of the World whatsoever, but which however has already been defined as a “partnership of two EQUAL, CONSTITUENT STATES (one Greek Cypriot and one Turkish Cypriot) on the legitimate territory of the Republic of Cyprus”, and -for the sake of the implementation of which- detrimental concessions have already been agreed between the President of the Republic and the Turks.
Concessions providing for:
• Apartheid inspired “rotating Turkish Presidency”, combined with the anti-democratic elimination of the 82% Greek majority by the 18% Turkish minority, adopting the principle of the so called “weighted vote”, meaning that every Turkish vote will “count by 5” against each Greek vote,
• Concessions that violate International Criminal Law (by keeping the illegal “Turkish settlers”), that violate fundamental Human Rights (by prohibiting the return of refugees to their homes and properties), that violate European and International Law (by relinquishing the right “to maintain National Armed Forces for State self-defense”),
• Concessions that provide for “separate relationship of the two constituent states with the European Union”, and more to come.
Provisions, that will prove the intended “Bizonal, Bicommunal Federation” a stillborn arrangement EQUAL (if not worse) to that rejected in 2004, that will deconstruct and abolish the Republic of Cyprus and drive it out of the European context, and will CEMENT the foundation for Ethnic Cleansing, total Turkification and transformation of Cyprus into a Turkish protectorate under British permanent guardianship”.
Ladies & Gentlemen, the question is obvious:
“Is there perhaps, a different, correct course, that will result in respecting and safeguarding the rights of the Republic of Cyprus and the prevalence of the principles of Freedom, Justice, Human Rights and Democracy? That is, the founding and operational principles of the United States of America, of Canada, of all other civilized Countries of the world and, in particular, of the European Union, of which Cyprus is an equal and sovereign Member-state?  Is there such a proposal?
Yes there is and we have it right here! Is “the Proposal of the correct YES”.
Published by the Movement for Freedom & Justice in Cyprus and submitted to the People of Cyprus in September 2009, the rationale and the documentation of the proposal remain unchallenged and its acceptance is growing geometrically higher day by day, equally inside and outside Cyprus. 
The proposal is based on one fundamental axiom:
«The State of the Republic of Cyprus remains indivisible, exactly as it was when joining the European Union on May 1st 2004».
As, if abolished, would amount to the ABOLITION OF THE EXISTENCE of an EU member-state, with all the catastrophic repercussions this would entail.
But what exactly do we mean, by the European State of the Republic of Cyprus?
 It is the Republic established in 1960, BUT as developed through the conspiracy of the British and the Turks in 1963, who not only failed in abolishing the Republic, but ALSO rid the State of Cyprus from all the traps of the 1960 Constitution.
 It is the Republic of Cyprus, as internationally recognized during the last fifty years (and this is INTERNATIONAL LAW), and joined the European Union as an equal and sovereign Member State.
This is the EUROPEAN REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS, which has to remain unchanged, free of any “Bizonal, Bicommunal Federation” or any other DANGEROUS statutory acrobacy act, having at the same time the obligation to pursue the smooth reintegration of the LEGITIMATE Turkish Cypriots into the EXISTING European State.
Governed throughout by the Fundamental Principles of the European and International Law, the proposal provides for:
 The withdrawal of the Occupation Forces, the departure of the Settlers and the exclusion of any Security System similar to the “1960 guarantees”.
 The restoration of the State to a situation of complete normality and the elimination of the consequences of the illegal occupation, to the benefit of all LEGITIMATE Cypriots.
 The upgrading and rationalization of the Constitution, Governance and Institutions, in a manner consolidating the general feeling of trust and security.
 While approaching the geopolitical and geostrategic interests of third countries in the region in an indeed positive way, the proposal does not allow for any concessions, related to the sovereignty and the legitimate interests of the Republic of Cyprus.
Totally in line with the acquis communitaire, the proposal further provides for the Religion, Education and Culture of all Cypriots, the Economy (with particular provisions for the reintegration of the legitimate Turkish Cypriots) and the State Security.
Last but not least, it is provided that “the implementation process of the proposal can solely be undertaken by the internationally recognized government of the Republic of Cyprus”, following to this effect five (5) steps:
1) Adopt the Proposal.
2) Process and elaborate all the parameters of the proposal, thus creating a complete solution document.
3) Call upon all legitimate Cypriot voters to approve the Proposal by referendum.
4) Persuade the Republic of Cyprus’s partners in the EU on the correctness of the Proposal.
5) Submit the solution Proposal to the United Nations and support it as the CORRECT AND INVIOLABLE course towards a solution for the Cyprus issue.
To this effect, the strongest argument is the fact that “any other course followed in Cyprus, is BY DEFINITION the result of the illegal invasion and occupation, THEREFORE illegal and unacceptable within an international and European context”.
The process of adoption, elaboration, approval, promotion and prevalence of the Proposal  is expected to be laborious, with predictable strong pressures.
The leader who will be entrusted with this mandate needs to spare Determination, Patriotism, Honesty and Persistence and be well above of any personal, party and other expediencies and interests.
The time that will be required for the materialization of the Proposal is unknown, as so far there has been NO other proposal, which emanates responsibly and exclusively from the President of the Republic and concerns the whole of the legitimate People of Cyprus.
What is certain though, is that, irrespective of how long it takes, it will be the FIRST TIME that “time will be invested towards the correct direction”, provided that there will be NO faintness of spirits and return to concessions.
Ladies & Gentlemen,
The people of Cyprus seek and assert NO MORE than what everybody in this room considers as obvious and self-evident: To secure Freedom, Democracy, Human Rights and Justice.
We, therefore, ask AHEPA and the Hellenes of the World to believe in the cause, to elevate the proposal to an INVIOLABLE MANDATE and to apply ALL PRESSURES towards the correct direction, that of the legitimate, honourable, respectable, just and viable conclusion for the Cyprus Issue.
By doing so, we are confident that we are doing our duty towards our Country and the Hellenes of the future and we strongly believe that “WHENEVER the cause of Hellenes has been one of FREEDOM & JUSTICE”, God was there for us…
I wish the AHEPA Family “health and prosperity” and a very successful Convention.
