NEW YORK —The Cyprus Action Network of America (CANA) is urging activists to continue to struggle to stop the American celebrity Jennifer Lopez illegal visit to Turkish-Occupied Cyprus. In recent days an overwhelming number of emails and calls have been sent in protest to the “William Morris Agency“ in New York that represents Lopez in New York . There is no evidence NONE that Jennifer Lopez has withdrawn or denied that she is going to Turkish-Occupied-Cyprus. We urge all activists to keep trying to bring media attention to her illegal visit. We urge you all to continue until we or anyone else receives official confirmation of her cancelling from the right channels.

Thousands of young Greek-Cypriot men and women have joined the campaign the Facebook group AGAINST JENNIFER LOPEZ PERFORMING IN OCCUPPIED CYPRUS has gained close to 6, 0000 members in just a few days of its existence.

Please emphasize in your letters to Lopez that besides the fact the illegal pseudo-state is recognized by no-one but the human-rights-abusing Turkish government, we also note in Jennifer Lopez’s case the hypocrisy of her and her agent “William Morris Agency” disregarding the fact that the illegal Turkish military-occupiers are the unrepentant rapists of 800 Greek-Cypriot women,

According to the Greek radio news the Greeks (Cypriots)  living in the USA and the Greeks (from Greece) do not want Lopez to come to Cyprus and have started sending protests and they demand that she cancels her visit to the “TRNC”.
Politis newspaper titled “ Jennifer do not go”. According to the news item “ Cyprus Action Network of America ” is asking people to write, phone and send fax or email to William Morris Agency protesting for her visit. The Turkish report refers also the internet activity against Jennifer Lopez visit to the occupied and the letters sent to her.

Ολοι μας πρέπει να «βομβαρδίσουμε» με φαξ και e-mail την εταιρεία «William Morris Agency» στη Νέα Υόρκη που αντιπροσωπεύει την διάσημη Αμερικανίδα Τζένιφερ Λόπεζ, ζητώντας από αυτή να μην επισκεφθεί την κατεχόμενη Κύπρο και με τον τρόπο αυτό να προσφέρει υποστήριξη στην παράνομη τουρκική στρατιωτική κατοχή της Κύπρου.Οι κατακτητές ετοιμάζουν μεγάλη προπαγάνδα με την κάθοδο στο νησί της κ. Λόπεζ ώστε να αγοράσουν ψεύτικη «νομιμότητα».Και επειδή Αττίλες είναι και δεν αλλάζουν, επέλεξαν την 20ή Ιουλίου ως την ημέρα καθόδου της κ. Λόπεζ στην κατεχόμενη Κύπρο, δηλαδή μία ημέρα θρήνου, καθώς είναι η μαύρη 36ή επέτειος της βάρβαρης τουρκικής εισβολής στην Κύπρο.Το λιγότερο που μπορούμε να κάνουμε είναι να μην αφήσουμε τη δικαιολογία στην κ. «Υπουργός» θέλει να φωτογραφηθεί με την Τζένιφερ

Λόπεζ και ξερό ψωμί

Με τιμές αρχηγού κράτους ετοιμάζονται να υποδεχθούν στα κατεχόμενα τη διάσημη τραγουδίστρια και ηθοποιό Τζένιφερ Λόπεζ η οποία φέρεται να έχει «κλείσει» παράσταση για τα εγκαίνια του ξενοδοχείου «Κράτος Πρίμιουμ» στο Καζάφανι στις 24 Ιουλίου. Δυο «υπουργοί» (τουρισμού και οικονομικών) θα υποδεχθούν τη διάσημη σταρ στο «αεροδρόμιο» της Τύμπου με τον έναν από αυτούς, τον Ερσίν Τατάρ, να δηλώνει πως θέλει να φωτογραφηθεί δίπλα στη Λόπεζ. «Θα βγάλω αναμνηστική φωτογραφία μαζί της και στα φωτογραφικά μας άλμπουμ δεν θα υπάρχουν μόνο πολιτικοί αλλά και διάσημοι σταρ» δήλωσε και τόνισε πως η άφιξη της Λόπεζ θα βοηθήσει τον τουρισμό και θα στείλει ένα ισχυρό μήνυμα για την αναγνώριση της «ΤΔΒΚ» στον έξω κόσμο και την άρση των «εμπάργκο».
Ο πρόεδρος των Τ/Κ ταξιδιωτικών πρακτόρων, Οζμπέκ Ντεντεκορκούτ, δήλωσε ότι προσπαθούν να καλέσουν στα κατεχόμενα δημοσιογράφους του «BBC» και άλλων μεγάλων ΜΜΕ και ότι ενεργούν αθόρυβα για να μην παρεμβάλλουν εμπόδια οι E/Κ.
Το ξενοδοχείο «Κράτος Πρίμιουμ» φέρεται να κόστισε 220 εκ. δολάρια ωστόσο υπάρχουν δυο εκδοχές για τον επιχειρηματία που κρύβεται πίσω από αυτή την ανάπτυξη. Κάποιες πληροφορίες αναφέρουν ότι βρίσκεται επιχειρηματίας από το Ισραήλ και κάποιες άλλες ο Τούρκος επιχειρηματίας Ουτκού Μπόζογλου.
Εν τω μεταξύ ο «δήμαρχος» Λευκωσίας, Τζεμάλ Μπουλουτογλουλαρί, φέρεται να καταβάλει προσπάθειες για να έρθει στα κατεχόμενα η επίσης διάσημη τραγουδίστρια Μπιγιονσέ, κάτι ωστόσο για το οποίο ο τ/κ Τύπος έχει αμφιβολίες. Τέλος, άλλες πληροφορίες αναφέρουν ότι το «Κράτος Πρίμιουμ» θα φιλοξενήσει παραστάσεις γνωστού σόου του Λας Βέγκας.
